The Lineup

Five roasts, one passage.

Elijah waits on the mountain. A great wind tears at the rocks, then an earthquake, then a fire — and God is in none of them. What comes after is a whisper. The five blends walk that sequence from loudest to quietest, and the line on each bag gets calmer as you go.

Dark

Fire

The loudest thing in the room.

Espresso

Earthquake

Ground-shaking, built for pressure.

Medium

Wind

Everyday, moving, everywhere.

Light

Whisper

The one you lean in for.

Decaf

Stillness

The line goes flat. Arrived.

1 Kings 19:12

Our Name

Where "Still Small" comes from.

The name is from 1 Kings 19. Elijah, exhausted and hiding in a cave, is told to go stand on the mountain. A wind comes and splits the rocks. Then an earthquake. Then fire. God isn't in any of them. Then comes what the King James translates as a still small voice — and that's the one he covers his face for.

We named a coffee company after it because the idea holds up outside the passage too: the thing worth paying attention to is usually not the loudest thing in the room. That's a decent philosophy for roasting, where the temptation is always to push darker and louder than the bean wants to go.

If you don't share the faith behind it, nothing here will be pushed at you — it's a coffee company, and the coffee has to be good on its own terms. If you do, you'll notice the five blends walk Elijah's whole sequence, and you'll know why the decaf bag's line is flat.

Wholesale

For cafes, offices, and churches pouring for others.

We keep a short wholesale list on purpose — enough accounts to keep the drum busy, few enough that we can dial in your espresso in person. Tell us what you're pouring and we'll send pricing and a sample box.

Typical partners: 2 lb bags, weekly or biweekly, tiered pricing from 10 lb/month.

Add your wholesale form here: create it in WPForms or Fluent Forms, then paste the shortcode into a Custom HTML block, or filter stillsmall_wholesale_form in functions.php.
